[She sounds tired... not tired - exhausted, mentally and physically and emotionally. Like she might sleep for a week.]
I'm back and before you ask, I'm fine. Now I'm going to sleep. [Because she hasn't done that yet what with dealing with the aftermath and everything.] I'll see you tomorrow, Phi.
Velvet! You're back! How did -- ah, alright. Get some rest and I'll come see you in the morning, then.
[Which he definitely will. But she probably expects to wake and find him hovering about in wanting news on what happened with the trip. To see that she was really alright for himself. Which is exactly what happens.]
[When Velvet steps outside of her minimalist apartment the next morning, it's to find Phi already outside her door. For the most part, she appears to be uninjured seeing as how most of her wounds had been healed by Usagi. The only wounds she does have are hidden beneath the bandages off her left arm. Even then, they're minor - small crescent shaped marks from her own fingernails. She does look frazzled, though. A look Phi might associate with a bad night.
Made even more obvious by how startled she appears to be to see him waiting outside her door. Obviously she's not at the top of her game just yet.
She sighs but doesn't seem to mind otherwise.]
Suppose I should have seen this coming. Come on, let's get food.
[It isn't the first time she's woken up with Phi hovering over her, having refused to eat until she could.]
I just -- you said to come over after you got some rest, so.
[He might actually look sheepish there. If only for a moment. But at least if she was healed up, he doesn't worry on noticing any obvious major injuries from her trip, from whatever happened with the mission to help Elios. But the reminder of food seems to distract him from being about to comment on how she slept.]
[It's not like she locks the door when she's there. Even if Sync was sleeping on her couch at the moment, Velvet is certain that Phi wouldn't have woken the replica.
She's still debating on whether to tell Laphicet everything or if she'll leave out the part about getting hurt. The rest of it is fair game, though.]
Something I don't have to cook. [Not feeling like cooking right now.] I'll tell you what happened over breakfast. But I will say now that we didn't accomplish much.
Um, okay! But...something you don't have to cook. What about some fruit? Or bread?
[That sort of thing seems simple enough. And Laphicet wouldn't be upset, given his own friendship with Sync, to find him staying with Velvet. He might not be sure of just when or how the two themselves might have met, but he'd be glad for it all the same. But he does want to help and hear about the trip, so he offers some suggestions at least.]
I was just planning on stopping by a restaurant somewhere nearby. Preferably one that isn't too crowded.
[If not, she'll just go to the nearby bakery and pick something to go. Being around a lot of other people is the last thing Velvet wants at this moment. He's free to ask about her encounters with Sync, she has no problem talking about that.]
Anything interesting happen while I was gone? [Technically it was only about a day (and then her staying in her place to rest up for several more hours but still.]
Oh. Or that works, I guess. Sure. But ah...I went out to check out this temple with Mikleo and Sorey!
[He can't recall if she's met or talked to either of them herself much if at all yet. Since she might have over the network or while he was out himself, for all he knows. Let alone keeping track with her not recalling her brief previous time here, on top of that.]
[Those names... she knows them. Where does she--? Oh, right. Edna had mentioned them before but Velvet hasn't yet met them. Obviously people from their world and apparently someone Laphicet is friends with.]
Yeah? Did you have fun? [They've seen a few temples in the travels, some old ruins but unlike others she only had a passing interest.]
Yeah! I mean, there were some traps and stuff but we figured it.
[Between the three of them and all. But Laphicet was not only thrilled about the history, learning more of the temple, of this place, but spending time with them again. He does want to build those connections, tentative and confusing as it is given the time difference between them. And Sorey being the Shepherd on top of that, which he is adjusting to as well.]
voice; for like... the 3rd
